A dream wedding
published: Monday | January 21, 2008

Tishan and David Lee - Contributed

It started in October 1998 at a screening of There's Something About Mary at then Island Cinema in New Kingston. Tishan Wade and David Lee were strategically seated together by their cousins (who were dating at the time). This set the wheels of their very 'colourful' relationship in motion.

After 10 years of break-ups and makeups, disappointments and celebrations, Tishan and David were finally married in an intimate and memorable wedding ceremony on Saturday, January 5.

The Ceremony

The impressive bridal party saw the groomsmen and ring bearer smartly attired in oatmeal Nehru jackets with matching pants by local designer Carlton Brown. They were complemented by stunning bridesmaids in a combination of burnt orange, chocolate brown and celery-green silk strapless dresses by Siim.

The bride wore a delicately embroidered, couture ivory gown: a strapless silk dress with sweetheart neckline, corset bodice and bustled train designed by Pronovias of Barcelona, Spain.

Reception

The Lees joined their guests in the resort's Pavilion. There they were greeted with a live rendition of Alicia Keys' No One by Shawn Campbell. Wedding stylist Michelle Lee paid meticulous attention to detail.

The theme and cuisine of the event captured the couple's cultures: Jamaican, Chinese and Indian.
