Terri Haye and Eric Green are a picture of love on their wedding day December 8.
Like many couples, Terri Haye and Eric Green met when they were fifth formers at St. Elizabeth Technical High School.
They quickly became friends but there were no romantic feelings towards each other.
It was two years after graduation that the two were reunited and began dating. That was five years ago.
On her birthday last year, Terri's dreams came true when Eric proposed to her.
"I remember he picked me up and took me to Little Ochi for dinner and started asking me how I would like to be proposed to. The next thing I knew he took my hand, looked me in the eyes and asked me to marry him," a very shy Terri told Flair.
Five months later, on December 8, 2007, in a melon and gold-themed wedding, Terri walked up the petaled aisle and joined hands with Eric before family and friends. The bride clad in a strapless white gown topped off with a sparkling tiara, was a picture of innocence while her husband was dressed in a classic black and white suit accented with melon and gold.
Eric says his life wouldn't be the same without Terri and that's why he asked her to be his life partner. "I don't see myself living without Terri. She completes me."
Terri describes her husband as a very humble individual who listens to her ideas and gives his opinion but respects hers as well.
Eric loves Terri because she is a loving and caring person, always putting the needs of others first. Her ambitious nature and family values also drew him to her. Most of all he loves her cooking.
The two were married at the Mandeville Baptist Church and the reception followed at the Mandeville Hotel. The officiating minister was Rev. Basil McLeod.
