Jennifer Hudson is hoping to win a Grammy in 2008
published: Thursday | January 3, 2008

Hudson

Bangsowbiz:

The curvaceous actress - who won the best supporting actress Oscar for her performance in Dreamgirls last year - is desperate to add a prestigious music award to her trophy cabinet this year.

She said: "I used to watch the Grammys and dream of winning one. I think that will be next on my list."

Jennifer, 26, also revealed she is thrilled to be returning to her musical roots with new album TBD, out later this year.

Dream come true

She told People magazine: "I get to sing this year. I love acting and I hope I don't ever have to choose between acting and singing, but singing is what I worked 17 years to do. That's what I dreamed of. And I get to do it this year."

The former 'American Idol' star - who was nominated for a Grammy last year for the Dreamgirls soundtrack - will be seen in the summer in Sex and the City: The Movie.

Jennifer admits she can't believe how much her life has changed since appearing on 'American Idol'.

She said: "I still don't exactly believe everything that has happened to me. Every day, it's like, 'Thank you God.'''
