Party like a rock star or a banker, because apparently it's all one and the same. The National Commercial Bank (NCB) Capital Markets staff exhibited the best at their Capital Awards ceremony on Friday, December 21, at the Morgan's Harbour Hotel in Port Royal.

While most guests were fashionably late, the awards ceremony was a change from the ordinary. Dubbed 'A Night of Glitter, Glam and Glitz', guests walked the red carpet to enter the movie-star themed party. But it did not stop there as they were stopped by the 'paparazzi', one photographer and a videographer to be exact. A reporter also interviewed them individually. Each person's entrance was projected on a big screen inside the venue where other seated guests could view their arrival.

After the 'movie stars' mingled and dined, it was time to announce the winners.

"And the award for best dressed female in the company goes to ..." Ayesha Carey. Her co-worker Dillon Coke copped the best dressed male title. Another award which followed in that vein was the award for vibesmaster, the person who makes everyone smile. It went to a very bubbly Natalie Shim.

'Tightest' department

Awards were also given out to the 'tightest' department, which was given to the team which was best able to complete tasks. A lifetime achievement award was given to Joyceline Graham for her 21 years of service to the company. Other big winners included Judith Whittaker who, aside from her manager of the year title, took three value leader-of-the-quarter awards. Kiola Davidson also won value leader employee of the year and the Capital Star award.
