Best of Beauty - A beautiful year
published: Monday | December 31, 2007

Fake eyelashes were absolutely fabulous! - photos by Ian Allen/Staff Photographer

Some of us are just born with great genes, but others need a little work. Whatever our perspective of being beautiful, sometimes we need a little help to always look our best.

Techniques and products in the beauty/cosmetics business are always changing and during '07, Flair kept you in the know. From make-up 101, we gave you the basics and the latest. Whether it was threading, getting fuller lashes or smoky eyes, Flair was your manual throughout the year.

Here's a sample of what you liked best.

Tired of tweezing or waxing? Try threading. Yes, threading. The thread is twisted and by moving both hands in a special motion, the hairs are removed. - photo by Sacha Walters

With so many parties to attend, Temoy's smokey eyes got us lots of calls. - photos by Yahneake Sterling

If you are not born with it, there are other ways to get it. Buy it. Fake lashes are a woman's best friend in giving the full lashes they desire. No doubt it will be around in the new year and beyond. - Ian Allen/Staff Photographer
