Maybe we shouldn't
published: Sunday | December 30, 2007

Demar Tracey, Outlook Youth Writer

It is not always sexy to go without a bra.

We're at this place again where we encounter some of the most common situations. Well, how do we respond? Should we ... ? Or, maybe we shouldn't ...

Outlook Youth went into the streets to seek advice on the following scenario:

This unique push-up half pad bra with wire, lifts the bust to give better shape and the impression of greater size.

Fashion obsession has become a worldwide trend, but even among fashion forwards, there are standards which they try to uphold - lines which, if we cross them, we pay the consequence of being frowned upon. This goes for both sexes, but our focus today is on women who are often unaware that they should look presentable (and not necessarily attractive).

Kevin, 20: "Girls will go to the extreme to look 'hot', tuck in their stomachs, bleach and change hairstyles every two days, while all they have to do is just present themselves as being clean and well kept."

Wear a bra

Sandrine, 18: "Girls should know that! Especially if their breasts are extremely big, you don't want to go out and one of them drops out in front of everybody!"

Sport matching accessories

Shawn 21: "Well, I am not girl, but I know that if you go out looking like a distribution assembly line gone bad, then all eyes will be on you for the wrong reasons."

Shave armpits

Francis, 22: "Women love to wear sleeveless tops, and it brings out the best in them at times, but if they lift their arms and it's not shaven, then it's just embarrassing."

BUT, THEY SHOULD NEVER:

Wear revealing outfits

Fiona, 20: "I know that men like girls to parade themselves half-naked, but girls should know that men only like them for that. They don't think highly of a half-naked girl, to them those types are not wife material."

Over-pierce their bodies

If you're not comfortable with very high heels, do not wear them.

Eric 19: "Piercing the ears two or maybe four times is enough, why are they piercing their nose, tongue, eyelids, etc? They are not thinking about how their skin will look when they get old."

Apply too much make-up

Cedrica 22: "I like to see them and laugh, because after spending nearly half an hour before the mirror, there is no way possible for you to leave house looking ridiculous."

Walk in heels that are too high

Latoya, 23: "If you can't manage certain footwear then you shouldn't wear it, as it can be dangerous and embarrassing if the heels break and you fall and injure yourself."
