Hosts Boys' Town came from a goal down to clip Seba United 2-1 yesterday in a keenly contested match in the JFF/Coca-Cola National Under 21 League at Collie Smith Drive.

The winners had the lion's share of possession in the first half but it was Seba who went ahead in the 31st minute when substitute Terrence McIntyre scored.

Boys' Town continued to have good build-ups and found the equaliser through Marvin Jones in the 48th minute.

Seba made several attempts to regain the lead but these were foiled by goalkeeper Carlloyd Walters.

Boys' Town got what turned out to be the winner in the 66th minute when Kenardo Smith fired past goalkeeper Kevin Green.

Wayne Brackett, Seba's coach, expressed disappointment with his team's lacklustre performance.

"I am very disappointed with this game. We had a tactical approach to this game and it was evident in the first half that we did not follow these plans," Brackett said. "In the second half, we knew Boys' Town would come back as they are playing on their home ground. My team was aware of it but they stopped playing."

Played poorly

"We played poorly in the first half," said Omar Edwards coach of Boys' Town.

"I told my team to go out there in the second half and play hard because I know they have the ability and they did well. We got two goals in the half which was very good," he said.

In other games, league leaders Harbour View beat Reno 3-1, Sporting Central got by Arnett Gardens 2-0, Portmore United edged Waterhouse 1-0, St. George's defeated Village United 2-0 and Tivoli Gardens beat August Town 2-0.
