The final stitches to costumes and splashes of paint for set design are being executed for the Little Theatre Movement (LTM) National Pantomime, Nuff an' Plenty, set for a traditional opening on Boxing Day, December 26.
Nuff an' Plenty surrounds the story of 'Miss Gertie', 'the real oowan' whose loyalty is being swayed away from her people as she is offered new opportunities by 'Mr. Gravalicious' and his wife.
Nuff an' Plenty deepens when 'Plumpie' triumphs, with the assistance of a scheming mother, in the Miss Nuff an' Plenty beauty contest.
The plot ultimately reveals whether there is nuff more and plenty more to be had.
The LTM National Pantomime Nuff an' Plenty is under the direction of Robert 'Bobby' Clarke with a selection of songs composed by Grub Cooper. The tempo ranges from traditional mento to reggae, ska and dancehall.
Lyrics by Barbara Gloudon reflect the twists and turns of the plot.
The cast includes some of the well-known pantomime talents such as Doreen King, Faith Bucknor, Kevin Halstead, Jaqui Higgins and Carlton Butler.
The Pantomime Company is currently in rehearsal with not a minute to spare, as they get ready for the curtain going up at 6:00 p.m. on December 26.
