Long-standing customers were treated to lunch and entertainment at National Commercial Bank's Brawta Luncheon held recently at the Alhambra Inn as a part of the bank's 170th anniversary celebrations.

Customers came from all over the island to share in the memorable occasion. Among the honoured customers present were those who banked with NCB for over 50 years.

Among them were Professor Ken Magnus and wife, Isabel, who have been banking with NCB since 1952, and Hezekiah Ramdatt and Cleveland Lissett ,who both opened accounts in 1954.

Rose Brown, Philip Cobran, Cherry and Osbert Neufville all joined the NCB family in 1958.

Group managing director, Patrick Hylton, praised the special guests and stated, "You are our heroes in the development and growth of the NCB. You have given us the 'right stuff', that is your commitment which has made our dreams a reality."

Mr. Hylton alluded to the fact that the institution's long-standing customers were interwoven into the history of the bank.

"It is an honour to celebrate our 170th anniversary with customers who have been a part of a legacy that has made the NCB one of the most prominent organisations in the history of this country."

Customers were entertained by Seretse Small and Friends who had them dancing to tunes from the '50s and the '60s. MC, Faith D'Aguilar, had all bubbling with laughter with her Louise Bennett impersonations while they enjoyed the scrumptious spread.

The function was a memorable one, as it left all feeling like they received their well deserved 'brawta' for the season.
