Rosetta Anderson - Filing clerk
published: Monday | December 17, 2007

Rose Anderson-Ellis

For 15 years, Rosetta Anderson has been part of the family at JMMB. "JMMB is a unique company; they are down-to-earth. There are some companies that are so stuck up and you have to be so prim and proper. We can be at home and no matter what, we are one family. There is always someone who will come in and make a joke".

A telephone operator for the past decade, Anderson began her tenure as an office helper and then as a filing clerk before her current role. "I think I've found my place in the organisation because I love what I'm doing; talking to people. I feel like I'm a people person."

Easy to get along with '

She gets along with everyone, especially the women in her department who she regards as her children. "I call the girls in my department my children because I'm the eldest. They call me Auntie, Rose and I actually race the girls to get the calls," notes the very dedicated employee. "I don't like to see a call dropped or missed. I love completing a day's work to the best of my ability."

No matter how disagreeable a caller may get, this veteran operator is never fazed. "I've been doing it long enough, so even if the clients are unkind, it doesn't get to me. I tell the girls, don't take it personal, it's a job. However, I love it and don't think I would want to work anywhere else," said Anderson.
