On November 24, in front of 150 guests, with a 23-member bridal party, Damian Anthony Welsh and Tanghia Camille Sutherland said their 'I dos'.
They got married at the Temple Pentecostal Assemblies on Phillips Road in a colourful 'rainbow' setting.
Welsh, who is an information technology specialist, and Tanghia, who is a teacher, make up your typical Christian couple raised in very religious families.
Humble
They met over 12 years ago in church and their relationship blossomed. Tanghia says that what she loves most about her husband is his modesty. "I love how meek he is. No matter what he achieves in life, he still, remains humble. His world may be crumbling around him and still, he's able to say a kind word to someone. That's how he is and I'm just happy that we are finally married."
Damian, on the other hand, loves the strength of his wife. "She's a determined person and whatever she sets her mind to do, she will achieve," he said.
The couple was given some sound advice by Bishop Simmonds. "Marriage is a life-long commitment and it doesn't matter the circumstances, you must stick together," he said. The reception was held at Medallion Hall Hotel in St. Andrew.
Officiating ministers were Bishop W.S. Robotham and Pastor Alletha Simmonds.
