Keisha Brown-Scott: Strong passion for customer service
published: Monday | December 3, 2007

Nashauna Drummond, Lifestyle Coordinator

Keisha Brown-Scott began working with Paymaster in 1999. Since then, she has moved up the ranks from telephone operator, cashier, cashier supervisor and customer service supervisor. She has also worked in the accounts department was operations coordinator and her current role is regional manager for Kingston and St. Andrew. With such vast experience in only one company, Brown-Scott has taken each new role one step at a time. "It was my first real job and each time it was a bit more challenging", she told Flair. "It gives you a chance to grow with each challenge and I've learnt how to deal with a lot of people in terms of team work", she added.

She noted that her vast experience, in so many different facets of the company, now pays off in her current role. "I can now better relate to what is happening in the company, especially what is happening in the branches and how that relates to the entire Paymaster picture."

As regional manager, Brown-Scott is the point of contact between the branches and the head office. "Whatever's happening in the branches, they will call me." These calls she accepts with pleasure as they keep her on her toes. "It's not the same thing everyday," she explains. "My greatest personal satisfaction is being able to give the customers what they want and to see them satisfied with our service."

Of her many roles, operations has been her favourite. "It was my favourite because of the different departments I have to interact with. I learnt that without a team, nothing can get done. We all have to recognise this is our goal and what we want to achieve." But, at the end of it all, for Keisha Brown-Scott, "Customer service is my passion."
