Rennae DeLisser: Customer Sales Representative
published: Monday | December 3, 2007

It could have been a different career for Rennae DeLisser if she had been put in a different area of job training.

DeLisser was a HEART trainee at Shoppers Fair in Harbour View before the takeover by Paymaster. Her work was exemplary and they kept her on. She has not regretted the move. The skills she has learned since working with the company as a customer sales representative have been passed on to others.

"I've trained people in St. Thomas and parts of the Corporate Area. I either visit other branches sometimes for up to two weeks or they come here on job training," she explained. She recommends the field to anyone, as long as they are mentally prepared.

"(Do it) only if you can manage. People in general are hard to deal with so you have to know how to deal with them. Some customers come with an attitude - just crack a smile and listen," she recommends. After seven years in the job, she might not have advanced as much as she would have liked and the time demands can be hectic, but she wouldn't trade it for the world.

"The years I've been here, I've got so used to this company. For example, I get time to go to school. Management is lenient and considerate like that," she said.
