A case for police high command

1. The Police High Command has some explaining to do here. After a minor traffic accident in St. Andrew earlier this week, one of the drivers involved got all obnoxious and uppity, and when the other driver suggested that they both attend the nearest police station to report the matter, the irate driver refused, saying he would have his friends take care of it. Imagine the shock and surprise of the other driver when a battalion of police officers turned up at his home at 2 a.m., armed to the teeth and in service vehicles, lights flashing and siren blaring, to question him!

Bride of terror!

2.It was supposed to be another fine wedding with guests from all over the world in attendance, but the bride was such a terror, some guests, the wedding planner and musicians all left the nuptials, dubbing her Bridezilla. In fact, one couple took it even further and mailed the husband a sympathy card!

Wife affair

3. They say the husband was such a gentleman, that when word first reached him that his wife was having a torrid affaire, he dismissed it as gossip. When he happened upon them late one night he was devastated. He's no longer with us.

Multiple appointments

4. Some are questioning why the multiple appointments by some to a number of boards. Whatever the reasons, it is cause for disquiet among the faithful.

Still in control

5. Some families are being commended for their astute political posture, as it seems whichever political party takes charge of the government they remain in control.

Paternity fight?

6. When they were lovers, 20 years ago, she was a happily married woman, and he an up-and-coming young professional. Today, she is divorced, and he is no longer up-and-coming but is at the top of his game. She recently suggested that her first-born might not be for her husband. The question for him: Is she being genuine, or just setting him up for some kind of a paternity lawsuit because of his success?

Ruffled feathers

7. A recent trip overseas to cash in on a pre-September promised bonanza has been met with little success. The story is that while the senior member of the delegation was afforded all courtesies, not so for all members of the delegation! This has left a lot of ruffled feathers around.

Downgraded appointment

8. The recent controversy seemed to have changed the make-up of at least one entity. Seems like the heat generated from the other appointment was enough to downgrade the appointment from chair to member.

Any action?

9. When will charges be preferred, some are asking.

Looking inside

10. Those who recently fell out of favour are now looking inside their own organisation to see if some of the recent revelations which led to a new enquiry did not come from within their own ranks.
