Toba yearling sale revisited

The review of the November 11 TOBA Thoroughbred Yearling Sale at Caymanas Park continues with yearlings sold for $500,000 to up $990,000.

We have already looked at the 11 yearlings fetching prices of $1 million and over, including the sales topper, a bay colt by Deputy's Report - Ray-Lise (bred by Laurence Heffes) who was purchased for $1.8 million by owner/trainer Richard Azan. From the 129 offered (some withdrawn), a total of 108 yearlings changed hands for a record $56.9 million, bettering the previous record ($54.6m) set last year. We now look at those sold for prices ranging from $500,000 to $990,000: Lot 15 - Chestnut colt by Outofthebox out of What'sall-theruckus, bred by HAM Stables, sold for $940,000.

Lot 5 - Bay filly by Royal Minister - Princess Alexandra, bred by Paradise Farm, sold for $910,000.

Lot 50 - Grey filly He'stherealthing - Magic Butterfly, bed by Orange Valley Estates Limited $900,000.

Lot 92 - Bay colt by Western Classic - Ocean Liner, bred by Donald Williams $900,000.

Lot 59 - Bay colt Alisios - Zaza, bred by Owen and Solomon Sharpe, purchased for Elias Haloute For $860,000.

Lot 74 - Bay filly Legal Process - Lady Pakeezah, bred by Henry Jaghai O.D. $850.000.

Lot 16 - Bay filly Running Stag - Jezabel Beauty, bred by Success Farms $800,000.

Lot 63 - Chestnut filly Alisios - Colourofmoney, bred by Laurence Heffes, purchased for $800,000 by Haloute specifically to race in Barbados.

Lot 86 - Bay filly Western Classic - Quick Burst, bred by HAM Stables, sold to Haloute for $800,000.

Lot 37 - Chestnut colt Legal Process - Come Tonight, bred by Henry Jaghai O.D. $780,000.

Lot 75 - Chestnut filly Alajwad - Shesafirecracker, bred by Hyde Valley Farm $770,000.

Lot 57 - Bay colt Ghost Ransom - Shawnee Sunrise, bred by Y.S. (1955) Limited $750,000.

Lot 39 - Bay colt Vanadium - Surface To Air, bred by Y.S. (1955) Limited $710,000.

Lot 54 - Bay filly Spacelink out of the 1997 Oaks winner P.W's Choice, bred by Paul and Clifton Wright $700,000.

Lot 76 - Chestnut filly Spacelink - Rhythmical Rain, bred by Cap Investments $700,000.

Lot 21 - Bay filly Royal Minister out of Jamaican Runner, bred by Laurence Heffes and Damian Chin-You, sold for $690,000.

Lot 52 - Bay filly Western Classic out of Medicine Woman, bred by Dr. Paul Wright $670,000.

Lot 72 - Bay filly Law Of The Sea out of Doctor Bird, bred by HAM Stables $660,000

Lot 45 - Chestnut colt Legal Process out of Marvelousanluvable with Richard Phillipps as agent for the breeders $650,000.

Lot 47 - Chestnut filly Tracking out of Fraulein, bred by Dr. Patrick Graham $650,000.
