Great vibes delight guests at wine and cheese party
published: Friday | November 23, 2007

Yahneake Sterling, Staff Reporter

Alex Haq and Rosa Pina show off some Latin moves during the party.

Kinsale Avenue in Jacks Hill was alive last Friday with music, laughter and chatter as the Latin American Women's Club Wine and Cheese Party got into full swing.

Maria Pinchin, president of the club, and her team worked their magic with offerings of lots of great cheeses as well as a variety of wines.

Even the children came out to support the fund-raising event. Little Anna Santana was such a sweetheart as she bobbed her head to the Latin beats.

Female DJ Leslie Sherman of Musical Credits Disco kept the party vibe flowing with her selections, Latin music with a reggae beat.

This was much to the delight of the many guests present.

Dancing got under way at 9:20 p.m. when Clelia Barreto De Hunter brought the party vibe with her.

Elizabeth Montoya-Stemann also added to the fun when she started a party train. This was short-lived but it got the guests to dance to the great music.

But the women from the Nigerian High Commission, Chinyelu Clara Osuji and Grace Charles Eyo, stole the night with their energetic dance moves.

Mexican Ambassador Leonora Rueda just missed out on dancing to one of her favourite songs, but her spirit wasn't dampened as she enjoyed the rest of the party.
