Cobb to be guest speaker at Women's Leadership dinner
published: Friday | November 23, 2007

COBB

Former United States Ambassador to Jamaica and current President of the American Friends of Jamaica, Ambassador Sue Cobb, will be the guest speaker at the Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) annual fund-raising dinner at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel on Thursday, November 29. It will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Ambassador Cobb is known for her many philanthropic efforts and her dedication to public service. In addition to having led many charitable organisations, she served in the Cabinet of Governor Jeb Bush, she was CEO of the Florida Lottery, and during 2006 she served as Secretary of State of Florida.

To foster development

The WLI is a progression of the United Way Women's Leadership Initiative and 'Building Bridges' Exchanges launched in 2004 by Ambassador Cobb, to foster economic development, knowledge sharing and partnership between Jamaica and Florida's public and private sectors.

The dinner promises to be an enjoyable affair, with entertainment provided by Dean Fraser and the Desi Jones Band. Main sponsor of the dinner is Pan Caribbean Financial Services Ltd.
