All I want for Christmas
published: Tuesday | November 20, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

All I want for Christmas is pothole-free roads and a war waged on bush. I don't mind patchwork on the roads, we could simply call it quilted asphalting. I am not asking for much; but the bush must go! I want to be able to enter at junction without entering the junction just because visibility is impaired by bush! I want to drive along our winding and meandering roads without have the wing mirror attacked by competing bush for the already narrow roadways.

I want to know, especially since I commute outside of the metropolis, that a cow or donkey is a few chains ahead, I am able to practise defensive driving without wearing blinkers.

I am not asking for much so, Santa please, see if you can get the little elves to work and maybe fit this request in your sack ... that's all I am asking for Christmas.

I am, etc.,

ELAINE VICET
