Yendi's China wardrobe
published: Monday | November 5, 2007

The bodice drips with glitter, it hugs the curves and has yards of train. Perhaps Yendi will wear this one on coronation night. - photos by Winston Sill/ Freelance Photographer

Miss Jamaica World 2007, Yendi Phillipps is currently in China for the month-long preparation for this year's Miss World pageant on December 1. Last week, she modelled several locally-designed pieces from her wardrobe.

The colours are vibrant and our queen wears them well but many of the designs bear striking similarity to many seen on Hollywood stars on the red carpets in America.

Left: White works wonders, especially on a trim figure, and this tailored white pant suit from Pablo Palair is the perfect fit. Right: This is 'aqua sparkle' by Uzuri, and it features two side openings that accentuate her curvy figure

Left: This orange silk bustier is laced at the back with ribbon and worn with a skirt trimmed with mesh. Right: Yendi will show lots of national pride in this fabulous two-piece swimsuit and beach wrap.

Left: For a more sedate look, this turquoise gown features sequin trim. Right: It's fuschia with a fitted bodice and ending in a long train. It is accessorised by Xtras.
