Spring is in the air!

A member of Tamika Small-Campbell's Executive Housekeeping & Laundry uses a wet cloth to clean this leather single-seater sofa. - Norman Grindley /Deputy Chief Photographer

Last week, we featured a new company that is offering executive housekeeping services and a member of our staff actually tried out the service. The new company's website is: www.exechomestaff.com.Here is the result of the job done.

"The house felt light! Really! I could almost breathe the freshness. I am generally a clean and tidy person, but my house had been locked up and out of use for nearly two years while I was away. It had literally gone to sleep and the mites, dust, insects and other pests took over. On my return, I had to make it habitable again and it took weeks of cleaning and dusting to breathe some life into it. Even after my gallant efforts, somehow, it was just not what it used to be.

Enter Tamika Small-Campbell and her new company Executive Housekeeping & Laundry. While I was at work, for nearly eight hours, one member of her team created a miracle of mammoth proportions. No nook or cranny escaped. What was amazing was the attention to detail. The agency surpassed what it was taking me weeks to achieve. The bedrooms, the rugs, the bathrooms, everything glowed as if brand new.

Furniture

A really clean house can make even old furniture look new. For days after Tamika and her crew, I walked through the house gingerly, almost afraid to shift anything out of place. But a house must really be lived in, so my challenge now is to keep up the very high Tamika standard even while I enjoy the comforts of home.
