Authorities hunt Jamaican gangs in US
published: Thursday | October 25, 2007

Sun-Sentinel.com:

Fighting among drug-dealing Jamaican gangs in Palm Beach County left one man dead and another injured last month, and may be connected to a double killing in August and other violent crimes up and down the East Coast, investigators said Tuesday.

Authorities arrested three suspected gang members Monday night in New York City in the killing of Damion Bryan, 29, of West Palm Beach, and wounding of Robert Frances, 33, on September 30 outside Seabreeze, a Jamaican hangout in the 5,000 block of Okeechobee Boulevard, west of West Palm Beach.

A team of local, federal and New York City law enforcement officers tracked down Eric Brown, 42, of West Palm Beach, Bernard Townsend, 22, of Boynton Beach, and Ava Morgan, 39, of West Palm Beach, in an apartment complex in Elmhurst.

The men were staying with suspected Bloods gang members, some of whom had ties to Palm Beach County, detectives said.
