Unruly customers
published: Wednesday | October 24, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

I write to voice my disappointment with the management of Megamart on Upper Waterloo Road where, repeatedly, indisciplined customers are allowed to pile up way more than 10 items at the express line to be cashed as the cashiers allow them to do so with no resistance. I have complained twice about it over the last six months and am told "some customers get very boisterous and ignorant when told they won't be cashed with more than 10 items and we don't want that to happen." My point is simple. Management is allowing indiscipline to set a firm footing by not curbing this habit.

I am, etc.,

CHRIS INGLEDEW
