Murder case put off to Oct 25
published: Saturday | October 20, 2007

The sentencing of the two men convicted of the murder of former president of the Gasolene Retailers Association Lloyd G. Brown and his 49-year-old fiancée, Sandra Campbell, has been put off to October 25.

They were to be sentenced yesterday in the Home Circuit Court but 37-year-old Peter Dougal, of Santoy district, Hanover, is challenging four of his eight previous convictions.

experts to verify

Justice Norma McIntosh said she was putting off sentencing for the police experts to verify the convictions.

Dougal was convicted along with 40-year-old labourer Donald Whyte of the double murder.

Brown and Campbell were shot dead at Campbell's Stillwell Road residence, Stony Hill, St. Andrew, about 4.30 a.m. on June 6, 2004.

The two men were found guilty in July of the double murder.
