Faith Hamer, a former first vice-president of the Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ), is now living with a type of cancer known as Multiple Myeloma.

Innovative IDEAS, in association with Swallowfield Chapel and other friends of Hamer, will be hosting a fund-raising wine and cheese party on her behalf.

The event is to assist in raising $7 million to undertake the second tier of her medical treatment.

The two-hour wine and cheese event is scheduled for Friday, October 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the lobby of Jamaica Trade and Invest (formerly JAMPRO) at 18 Trafalgar Road, Kingston 10.

The event is being made possible through the sponsorship of: Lascelles Wines and Spirits; Mac's Gourmet Market; Anchor Cheese and Anchor Yogurt; WISYNCO; Chocolate Dreams; The Pantry Caterers; Jamaica Trade and Invest; Power Graphics Studio; Chronicles Limited: Karl Hart and Dulcie Bogues.

Entertainment will be provided by Harold Davis and Michael Harris. Total proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Faith Hamer Medical Fund. The contribution is $5,000 per person.
