Flash-flood warning lifted
published: Sunday | October 14, 2007

The flash-flood warning for central and western parishes has been discontinued, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) advised yesterday.

The agency said while the area around Jamaica remained unstable, a "significant reduction in rainfall" is expected today.

The ODPEM said several roadways remained inaccessible, including the Hagley Gap to Penlyne Castle road in St. Andrew; and the Bog Walk gorge in St. Catherine. The Mount Rosser road in St. Catherine has been reopened to vehicular traffic.
