Fusilier claimed

Seven horses changed hands at Caymanas Park on Saturday, among them FUSILIER, who was awarded first place following the disqualification of NUMERO UNO in the third race.

One of three winners for leading jockey Trevor Simpson and trainer Dwight Chen, the six-year-old horse by Irish Quest out of Bert By Jo was taken for $315,000 by trainer Anthony Ferguson for himself.

Another winner claimed was CRUCIAL POINT out of the fifth race. The chestnut gelding was taken from champion trainer Wayne DaCosta for $360,000 by trainer Norman Palmer for himself.

Also claimed in this race were the runner-up TIME OF MY LIFE for $380,000 by trainer Albert Chong for George P, FIRE D TRAINER for $360,000 by Gregory Bucknor on behalf of Alvin Beckford and SPACESAVER for $380,000 by trainer Enos Brown for Theodore Thompson. The final two claims came in the sixth race. The 6-1 winner THUNDER CLAP was picked up for $170,000 by trainer Donovan Raymond for Henry Paige and beaten favourite TRULY FLAWLESS, taken by trainer Leroy Fearon on behalf of Romeo Fearon, for the same price.
