Firefighter Khalilah Wright, winner of the second Mercedes-Benz in the Digicel's 'Drive Your Dream' summer competition could not hide the fire of joy that was burning inside, when her number was revealed as the winning number.

Wright, the only contestant from Hanover, said she did not expect to win the Mercedes-Benz.

"When Ity gave me the keys, I could not believe it. I was elated, overjoyed," she said. "It still has not completely sunk in as yet."

Ten contestants from all over Jamaica were selected to vie for a brand new 2007 C-Class Mercedes-Benz in the second draw of the competition, which took place on September 29.

Choosing a number

Ten Digicel 'girls' acted as safekeepers, nine of them holding briefcases with $100,000 cheques and one with the Mercedes-Benz keys.

The contestants were asked to spin the drum by host, Ity, and to choose a number. The number that they picked determined the order in which they would choose the briefcase they believed held the keys for the grand prize.

Carlet Gray, a supervisor at an insurance company, got the first pick at the briefcases. She chose number four.

Khalilah Wright had the last pick and so, having no choice, she selected number eight and was in luck, as briefcase number eight had the Benz keys. The nine other contestants walked away with $100, 000 each.

Jerry Butler, one of the contestants, said that he would invest his winnings, while Carlet Gray announced that she would be taking her family on a vacation.

The third and final Benz will be up for grabs in October. It will be the ultimate prize as it is the only 2008 C-Class Mercedes-Benz being given away during the promotion.
