The hottest topics on the cocktail circuit

Less than honourable

1. It seems that the judge, fed up with the regularity with which one businessman has appeared in her court for various infractions, recently told him so, and in no uncertain terms. Let's see if he will now be changing course!

Trans-gendered men

2. Some passengers, crew and those on hand to pick up friends or loved ones at the airport recently got a bit more than they bargained for. Also disembarking from an incoming international flight was a horde of the trans-gendered men, dressed nuh-puss-back-foot, in their female get-up.

Saved by women

3. Well, not so lucky was one young man who attended one of Kingston's nightclubs over the weekend. His effeminate behaviour caused some in the crowd to spread the word that a gay was in their midst. He was thrashed but spared from death by a few women.

No thank you!

4. The Cabinet never had enough China to adequately accommodate all those who thought they had earned a seat at the dining table. So when she was offered a secondary role in the scheme of things, she made it more than clear that "nothing short of a ministerial assignment or portfolio would be considered".

Brothers' problem

5. The names of the brothers are being floated around in every circle for consideration for various assignments. The problem is, one is a resident alien and the other too obviously connected to a certain person.

Where's the invitation?

6. A number of major contributors are fretting away at not yet having received an invitation to the big thank-you bash later on tonight.

That's pure chatter!

7. They say for all his talk and bluster, his contribution to the cause was more wind than substance. So all the talk about him financing the organisation is just that - pure chatter!

It's back to school

8. The recent outburst from the intemperate one did more than raise eyebrows in the diplomatic and donor circles. Some have called for him to be tutored and schooled in the discipline and ways of international politics and diplomacy.

Breach of protocol?

9. Was there a breach of protocol with the wife being received before the duly elected one?

Race still on

10. It seems that the general election will truly be decided in the courts. The number is growing; both sides are affected.
