Washout!
published: Thursday | August 2, 2007

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC):

Torrential rain prompted the abandonment of all three matches in the second round of the West Indies women's championship yesterday.

St. Lucia were set to face defending champions St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago were to meet Barbados, and Jamaica were down to tackle Grenada.

On Tuesday's opening day, the hosts were the only team to record a victory.

The Barbadians beat St. Lucia by 13 runs, as the other two matches ended in no-results.

The competition will continue today - weather permitting - with St. Lucia to meet Grenada, Barbados to face Jamaica and T&T to battle SVG.
