Usher's pregnant fiancée hospitalised
published: Thursday | August 2, 2007

Music superstar Usher's pregnant fiancée Tameka Foster allegedly checked into hospital on Sunday.

The 37-year-old was reportedly treated at an Atlanta hospital for pregnancy complications the day after Usher called off their wedding.

Despite Tameka's best efforts to play down the scare, a source has told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Usher visited Tameka in hospital. He definitely checked up on her.

"He hadn't seen her since Saturday when he called off the wedding. He hadn't been taking her calls."

Usher, 28, revealed on Monday the wedding is still going ahead.

He said: "As of right now we don't have a date but we will let you know when we do."

Flew home

It had previously been reported that after cancelling their wedding, Usher flew home to Peachtown to make peace with his mother, Jonetta Patton, who allegedly refused to attend the ceremony.

It is believed she and Tameka have an ongoing feud, and Tameka - formerly Usher's personal stylist - was the driving force behind the singer sacking Jonetta as his manager.

Usher and Tameka announced their engagement in February of this year.

They had been dating for nearly 18 months, but split briefly before they announced their engagement.

They announced the pregnancy last month. The baby, Usher's first and Tameka's fourth, is due in the autumn.
