New arrangement made
published: Friday | July 27, 2007

SportsMax, though an agreement between parent company International Media Content Limited (IMC), and Fox Sports International (FSI), has renewed its agreement for the exclusive live television broadcast rights to the English Premier League, now titled the Barclays Premier League, through the 2009/2010 season. The deal was signed off by Chairman of IMC, Hon. Pat Rousseau and FSI's Christopher Scott.

SportsMax, which is now offered in over 20 countries, will show three live and exclusive matches each weekend, featuring Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, kicking off with the Community Shield between Manchester United and Chelsea on August 5.

"SportsMax will continue to bring the most watched domestic football league in the world to the Caribbean" stated SportsMax CEO, Oliver McIntosh. "Since we all cannot go to Old Trafford to watch Ronaldo, SportsMax brings the BPL to thousands of homes in the Caribbean. This goes a far way in ensuring that we remain valuable to our subscribers."
