God forbid that she should die tomorrow, but if she does, Marva Pinnock will know she is appreciated.

Literally the chief cook at the famed Club India on Lady Musgrave Road, Pinnock was the guest of honour at a dinner hosted by Lachu Ramchandani on Wednesday night.

The businessman wanted to reward the quiet lady for her over 30 years of service to the club and its members. She received a special trophy and well-deserved money for her efforts.

Scores of guests came to laud the lady, saying their own personal thanks. The best part was that her three children were there to witness the event.
