HARBOUR VIEW Lakers will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat to start the KFC National Basketball League when they face Majesty Gardens at the National Stadium Courts this evening at 6:45.

Lakers, who appear to be in transition mode with numerous personnel changes, will face a Majesty Gardens team that is new to the league, but has shown it can match the established NBL teams.

They beat Tivoli All Stars in their first game, then lost a close 88-84 encounter to Portmore Flames.

As usual, Baldon Todd, Kemar McLeish and Ataina McClennon are expected to lead Majesty Gardens, while Lakers can look to Kevin Williams and Phillando Rowe.

Close loss

In the early game at 5:00 p.m., Arnett Gardens face Denham Town Wizards. Wizards are coming off a close 75-74 loss to Tivoli All -Stars on Thursday after winning their first two games. Wizards had a defensive meltdown in the final quarter of that game and their coach, Wayne Bartley, said his team didn't make the necessary adjustments and that they would be trying to avoid that in their next game.

Arnett Gardens, who have three wins from four games, have been playing confidently, but should face a stern challenge from the Wizards.
