The man, who has been identified as Levi Jones, of Jamaican parentage, is expected to appear in a Miami court later this month.
J'can detectives to testify
"We will be sending a team of detectives to Miami to testify in this matter. This is also part of a wider effort to dismantle the gangs and tackle trafficking of illegal guns into the island," SSP Watkis added.
The shipment of guns and over 130 assorted rounds of ammunition landed on Jamaican soil in November 2005. The weapons, which included 12 high-powered rifles, three shotguns and semi-automatic pistols, were destined for slain Clansman gang leader, Donovan 'Bulbie' Bennett, according to police intelligence.
