Frank Sinclair signs with Huddersfield
published: Tuesday | May 15, 2007

LONDON, England (CMC):

Former Jamaican international Frank Sinclair has signed a one-year contract with English League One side Huddersfield, the club with which he spent much of last season on loan.

The 35-year-old Sinclair, released by Burnley recently, impressed Huddersfield's new manager Andy Ritchie during his tenure at the club.

Sinclair, a hard-nosed defender who can play in central defence or at right back, said he would be looking to help the north England club gain promotion to the Championship next season.

"Andy Ritchie has taken over and he's been successful in League One before. We will make a real big push for getting into the Championship next season," Sinclair told the club's website.

"It's a very big club for this league. We shouldn't be out of place in the Championship and there are exciting times ahead.

"I'm coming towards the end of my career and want to finish it as successfully as I started it. I've been made very welcome here and I've had a good rapport with the fans from the start."
