The historic St. Mark's Anglican Church that burnt down on March 1, 2005, was restored in 2006 and rededicated by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Howard Gregory, Bishop of Montego Bay, in a service filled with inspiration and joy on Sunday, May 6. Rector of St. Mark's, Father Alwyn Hall, had reason to be proud of the support given by his congregation to the restoration of the picturesque church located in Rio Bueno, Trelawny.

Over 200 persons and a large and impressive choir came to participate in the rededication of the church, which dates back to 1832. Among the congregation were the retired Lord Bishop of Jamaica Neville deSouza and Mrs. deSouza, the archdeacon of Montego Bay, Hollis Lynch, the Rev. Michael Brown from Falmouth, Leroy Johnson from Portmore, and Dr. Patrick Harris, Member of Parliament. Dwight Richards demonstrated his usual strong musical talents.
