THE EDITOR, Sir:
I am planning retirement soon and considering returning to Jamaica, but with all the crime, I am very concerned. From reading the papers, it seems that if the criminals don't get you, the police will. Come on, my people. We have got to do better. When I came to America over 25 years ago, I boasted so much about my people's home. Now I don't want to talk about you. Please, let's find the love again.
We are a small country in size, but we wave a big stick out there in the world when it comes to sports, education, music, to name a few things. The crime rate is overshadowing our accomplishments. Please let's find the love again.
Yes, I am concerned, but I am still coming back home when I retire. I plan to bring my love. My retirement is in five years and I am appealing to one and all of my fellow Jamaicans to start searching for the love. So, when I come home with my love to join you with your love, we can really get together and truly sing One Love. God bless you, my people, find the LOVE.
I am, etc.,
