The Editor, Sir:In reference to the editorials on Monday, March 26, titled 'Confronting school indiscipline' and Thursday, March 29, titled 'Deep problems at Kingston Technical demand action', I am appalled by the false accusations made against my school and the administrators. How dare you question the Kingston Technical High School (KTHS) administrators ability to deal with matters affecting this great school?
In defence of my vice-principal, Robert Allen, he was not even on the school grounds when the incident happened. So, for you to be saying that he is denying the incident, you are so wrong!
Mr. Allen was very correct when he said that their are pockets of indiscipline present in the school, implying that the level of indiscipline stems from a minority in the school's population.
Second, I wish to comment on the letter to the editor titled 'The violence of Kingston Technical High School students' on Wednesday, March 28.
Brenton Samuel cannot go to court with 'hearsay' and he gave no proof of the allegations made, he said that Kingston Technical High School students damaged a Jamaica Urban Transit Company bus, when he did not even see it.
This incident has just been made known to all members of staff whom I spoke with and when I spoke to several students this was the first time they heard about it.
Finally, the KTHS administrators are determined to rid the school of the minority of students who are bent on wreaking havoc in this noble institution.
KTHS has nothing but one of the finest leadership teams in the world.
I am, etc.,
