Foster College are the respective overall male and female leaders going into today's final day of the Jamaica Inter-collegiate Sports Association Athletic Championships, this at the end of day one action at G.C. Foster College yesterday.
UTech lead the male points standing with 52, eight ahead of G.C. Foster 35, with Portmore Community College in third place on nine points. G.C. Foster College lead the female section with 43 points, with UTech in second place on 41 points, University of West Indies (UWI) third on 21 points and Knox Community College on seven.
World junior 400m champion, UTech Kaliese Spencer, was the only double gold medallist. Spencer captured the 800m in 2: 25.44 ahead of G.C. Foster's Sonita Sutherland 2:26.04, with third place going to her teammate Jeraine Bolt 2:27.34.
Spencer then returned to capture the 400m hurdles in 1:02.2 ahead of G.C. Foster's Tashuna Willock 1:02.5 and Bolt 1:02.9.
UTech's Yanique Levy won the women's 100m hurdles in 15.21 seconds ahead of G.C Foster's Angella Graham 15.47 and Willock 15.60.
Andrae Drummond of UTech won the men's 800m in 1:53. 25, while G.C Foster's Kenyatt Osbourne 1:54.74 ended second.
