All-star event at Spring Break '07
published: Tuesday | March 6, 2007

Krista Henry, Staff Reporter

If the machine bull at the Rebel T Headquarters on 52 Dumbarton Avenue at the launch of New York/Miami Link-Up Spring Break 2007 last Thursday, is anything to go off, Spring Break promises to be full of excitement.

Hosted at the Long Bay beach in Negril on Saturday, March 10, the eighth staging of New York/Miami Link-Up will be an all-star studded event. All day and all night patrons can see energetic performances from the likes of Sizzla Kalonji, Lady Saw, Spice, Junior Reid, Mavado, Aidonia, Ninja Man, Rapper Trina and many other performers.

Great hits played

As selectors from Rebel T played reggae, dancehall and hip hop hits, the likes of Sizzla, Capleton, Ninja Man, Don Mafia and others showed up at the launch to give the event a little star power.

Spring Break Link-Up will be hosted by MCs Nuffy, alongside Sample Man, GT Taylor and Big A. As Nuffy took the stage last Thursday, he welcomed the many sponsors who gave their support to the event. The show's chief producer, Mexine Bisasor, expanded on the show's long history of success that appeals to locals and visitors alike. To accommodate those who work, the event has been moved from the traditional Sunday to Saturday night.

In the day, patrons can enjoy music from sound systems such as Stone Love, GT Aggregation and Rebel T.
