ROCommunications (Jamaica) is a new marketing and communications company founded by Yvonne Grinam-Nicholson. She heads a team of experienced professional associates who will help organisations that need strategic counsel in business communications.Yvonne Grinam-Nicholson brings over 20 years of communication expertise to the business, 13 years of expertise in the financial services sector, and will lead the company as it establishes itself as a high-quality strategic business communications counsellor for companies in Jamaica and the Caribbean.
They will offer communications services including:
Communications strategy and counsel Public relations and publicity
Investor relations Specialised communications training and strategy for pension fund trustees and more.Additionally, the new company is equipped to handle: publications, annual reports, newsletters, brochures, and booklets.
Clients will be assisted in communicating more effectively and getting tangible, measurable returns on their investments in communication.
"Our focus is exclusively on corporate and financial communications and investor and public relations and we will help companies communicate their strategy, performance," Mrs. Grinam-Nicholson said.
In an environment where so many practitioners are entering the business, ROCommunications (Jamaica) will also seek to provide in-house training for public relations officers.
Former journalist
As a former journalist, she has conceptualised and spearheaded several communications and marketing initiatives in the financial services sector. These include the establishment of the industry's Best Practices Awards; the regional conference on investments and the capital markets; Analyst of the Year competition, and training in the equities market.
She has also been responsible for producing all the printed public education materials and all major events of the Jamaica Stock Exchange. She has local and international training in marketing and communications as well as bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of the West Indies (UWI). She is a past student of The Queen's School.
