SEEING RED!
published: Sunday | December 3, 2006

Photos by Colin Hamilton/Freelance Photographer

Last Thursday night, the Corporate Area's fashionable women turned up the heat in the Jamaica Pegasus hotel with some fabulous outfits in varying shades of red. They were attending this year's Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) dinner and awards presentation. And not a moment too soon. It's the Christmas season and red is one of the two dominant colours, so we picked a few to share with you. For details abut the occasion, read tomorrow's Flair magazine.

(1) Finance Minister Dr. Omar Davies is feeling no pain in his role as 'thorn' between two - actually it's one Rose - his wife (right) and the other being Lorna Golding, wife of Opposition Leader Bruce Golding. Our camera caught the trio on their arrival at the WLI dinner.

(2) Joan Dennis' figure-hugging red gown featured a rosette below one bust and yards of string falling down one side.

(3) Good God Almighty, parson's wife sure looks pretty in her short oriental red and gold dress. Nice job, Joan Jonas!

(4) Always a fashion winner is radiant Ann-Marie Feanny whose ensemble turned heads.

(5) Sabrina DeLeon's curvy frame went well with this gown that featured daring thigh-high slits.

(6) It's that time of year again, when we just must wear something red. This red quilted jacket over matching inner blouse and a little red clutch were all that Dr. Carol Ball Thomp-son needed.

(7) Dr. Verna Brooks-McKenzie, head of the Menopause Centre of Jamaica, chose the red beret for her dominant season statement.
