published: Friday | October 6, 2006

Tortola, BVI (CMC):

Law Enforcement officials here have mounted an investigation into the death of a Jamaican woman who was killed on Tuesday when she was thrown over a balcony of her apartment by two armed masked men.

Dorcas Rhule, 39, who lived in the east of the territory, was thrown from the four storey building and fell about 40 to 45 feet.

Another young woman who also lived in the same apartment managed to escape with injuries and is under police guard at the territory's lone Peebles Hospital.
