It is commonly accepted across the spectrum of savvy marketers and promotional experts that 'overnight success,' for all its appeal, usually takes a minimum of 15 to 22 years, to come to fruition, especially in the business of entertainment. Now, when you combine entertainment and hospitality, that task becomes much harder, but naturally, there are always gonna be exceptions to accepted rules.

Luvs, one such glaring exception is the fabulous resort, Hedonism III, near Salem in St. Ann.

To be sure, the Hedonism brand - well established as the tourism and leisure industry - is an international success story that has been copied and/or duplicated by many a hotelier and/or resort developer looking for a winning formula.

Sadly, while some have managed to duplicate the concept, the essential essence still eludes those seeking to copy it.

My dears, gracious to a fault and hospitable beyond compare, from the bellman to the front desk staff, the pool attendants, bartenders, waiters and waitresses, dining-room, and house keeping, not only take fabulous pride in serving, they all pitch in to make guests' stay at the resort one fine and unforgettable experience.

My dears, it was seven years ago, (Thursday) that Hedonism III first opened its doors and it became very clear from the very get-go that this was going to be a resort with a difference. So it was then, so it was today!

Simply put, it is an adult fantasy playground, where egos are checked at the door, and once inside, it's all abut living fabulously and daringly well!

Ultimate fantasy

Dears, don't know how he did it, but GM Kevin Levee, from the very first day the resort opened its doors to guests, has managed to create the ultimate fantasy without managing to go over the top. And therein lies the absolute beauty and charm, of the resort!

Anyway, me luvs, on Thursday night of last week, the management and staff of the hotel threw another smasheroni to mark its seventh anniversary, and my dears, it was yet another fabulously awesome do.

Honeys, celebrated against the backdrop of a theme that was 'Bringing Sexy Back' - not that sexy ever left - but if you lost sexy, it was to be found at Hedonism III this weekend, with the opening salvo, getting under way on Thursday.

Oh, mama mia, and her cousin, the sainted virgin, what a party!

We are talking sexy in dress, thought and deed! The music was sexy, the food was even more so! The people were sexy, even the very performances were sexy. And as if to top it all, my dears, the Ms. Hedonism III contest was on and in earnest. And honeys, we are talking a bevy of drop-dead-gorgeous beauties here, strutting their stuff like everybody's business, and then some!

Yep, it was like that - hot like 10 coal stoves, and burning some!

And then there was the entertainment: dancers, children, we are talking rippling muscles; bouncing derrières and curvaceous, sinewy movements, that were at times not only gravity defying but jaw-droopingly so!

Honeys, we are talking vertical expressions of horizontal desires here, and how!

Fabulous Ebony

And then there was the Hoochy-Coochie Piano Bar, and the Resorts Octopussy Disco! Honeychiles, singing is not a required talent for the many guests who pour into the piano bar each night, but it was a joy to the ears Thursday night when the fabulous Ebony of the entertainment department decided on working a few numbers. And honeys, worked them she did, to the joy and delight of those packed into the area for the experience.

And if that was not hot enough, my dears, the disco was on fire! Sweet-things, all the children were in the house, and partying was on their minds, and party they did, like a frat house on steroids!

Luvs, three absolutely fabulous vixens locked themselves in the disco's cave and danced out of their couture evening do and right into their thongs! A bevy of blondes, not to be outdone, took to the bar counter top and shook, shimmied and sashayed up a heat wave! But the pièce de résistance was the dutty wine, in full flight on the disco floor by some members of the entertainment crew and some guests!

My daahlings, sexy never looked better, and sizzlingly so! Oh my word, what a night! - sugarplums, to die for!

Talk about a seven-year itch. Well my darlings, this here is the seven-year hitch, because after seven years, it has now become one exotic family, and nobody but nobody, is staying away! And as one guest opined: "This is one of the best reunions I have ever been to!"

And so it was that they came from far and wide, and from every corner of the globe, to celebrate the resort's seventh year of being an oasis of pure and unadulterated pleasure. And honeys, it rocked, and then some.

Among those spotted sharing in the festivities were: SuperClubs VP the fashionable Sue MacManus; SuperClubs HRD manager Dr. Errol Holmes; Hedonism III GM the affable Kevin Levee and his absolutely dee-vine wife Cecile Levee; hotel manager the lovely Donna Grant; GM of neighbouring Breezes Resort, Cheddi Parchment; the lovely Marilyn Burrowes of Dolphin Cove, her son Gregory Burrowes. Also out: international modelling sensation Nadine Willis and her brother Donald Willis; Robert Haughton; antique dealer Wayne Nasralla and his fabulous Russian companion Maria Kuyzmena; film producer Carmen Franczyk; Freddy James of Nightime Promotions and a bevy of buxom beauties; actor and model and Hedonism Resorts Calendar model, the lovely Cheryl Moore; Craig Rice; multi-repeat guests Bill and Nancy Fitzpatrick; model/actor and chocolate godling Juan Dominic; Allan Smith of La Bare Entertainment in Florida; the charming Sophia Leahong; Serge Guimond; the oh, so lovely and leggy Michelle LaPorte.

Then there were: Steven Pottinger; Tracey-Ann Munroe; Errol Shakespeare; the fabulous Francesca De Majo, of Malta, the ever handsome Garfield Collins; and the simply hot Miss Cherry Bomb, she being Miss Best Bikini Body 06, Washington D.C.; plus a host of others.

My dears, here's to the next seven!
