Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) to kick off 'Best of Jamaica' extravaganza
published: Monday | September 11, 2006

One of Jamaica's major tourism marketing blitzes for 2006 will take place on the north coast during the first week in October, when SuperClubs hosts its annual 'Best of Jamaica' islandwide showcase extravaganza.

Dozens of overseas travel writers and hospitality industry executives are expected to attend the premier five-day event from October 4 to October 8.

Endorsed by the Jamaica Tourist Board, it will be held at Super-Clubs' Grand Lido Braco Resort and Spa in Trelawny.

Islandwide adventure tours

The overseas guests will be headquarters at Grand Lido Braco for several days of islandwide adventure tours, receptions, briefings, news conferences, and marketing presentations - highlighting the best Jamaica offerings to visitors.

SuperClubs' Vice-President For Marketing, Zein Nakash, says the event will help to form a major 'springboard' for Jamaica's 2006/2007 winter tourism season marketing outreach in the United States, which is the island's main international tourism destination marketplace.

"SuperClubs' annual 'Best Of Jamaica' outings have always proved very popular, inviting, interesting and educating," Mrs. Nakash said.

SuperClubs' 'Best Of Jamaica' event is considered in worldwide travel and tourism circles as a novel event aimed at attracting a growing niche market of worldwide vacationing fun seekers.
