Rock 'n' roll dolls to hit toy industry
published: Thursday | September 7, 2006

Gwen Stefani

LOS ANGELES (AP):

Singer Gwen Stefani said she will bring her trademark rock 'n' roll style to the toy industry with a series of limited-edition dolls.

There are eight dolls in all, and Stefani has dubbed the line Love. Angel. Music. Baby. Fashion Dolls. Each wears one of the colourful looks Stefani sported on her latest world tour.

"The Harajuku Girls and I wore such wicked costumes we had to share them with the world again," Stefani, 36, said in a statement Tuesday.

Each 10-inch (25-centimetre) doll looks like the platinum-blond rocker or one of her Harajuku Girl dancers and comes with Stefani-inspired collectibles such as posters, pocket mirrors or trading cards.

The dolls will be available for US$24.95 (J$ 1,646.70) at Target.com and other retailers.
