Baronhall Farms wins International Awards
published: Thursday | September 7, 2006

Baronhall Farms Scotch Bonnet Sauce is a gold medal winner!

The Monde Selection International Institute for Quality Selections recently awarded Jamaica Standard Products Co. Ltd. (JSP), two gold medals for their Baronhall Farms Hell Hot and Scotch Bonnet Sauces and one grand gold medal for the Baronhall Farms Jerk Sauce.

The 45th annual awards confirmed that the Baronhall Farms sauces and spices are among the best in the world. They stood the scrutiny of a tasting board comprising an international jury who commissioned various tests to validate the quality of the products. Tests included taste, smell, chemical and/or bacteriologic analysis.

For many years, JSP has offered the public Baronhall Farms sauces and spices made from 100 per cent Jamaican fresh herbs and spices, perfect for the health-conscious individuals as they contain no MSG and are low in sodium.

The line consists of five sauces and five spices: Hell Hot Sauce, Hot Curry Sauce, Jerk Marinade, Scotch Bonnet and Jerk Sauce; and Curry Powder, Jerk Seasoning, Mixed Spice, All Spice Ground and All Spice Seed (Pimento). The sauces are great on poultry, fish and meat and can be used to create dips for just about any kind of chips - banana, plantain, potato or dasheen. They give the perfect flavour when entertaining.

About Monde Selection

Monde Selection International Institute for Quality Selections was founded in 1961 on a Belgian initiative in Brussels. They are the oldest and most representative organisation in the field of quality selections worldwide.

They analyse the products in certified and independent laboratories. Afterwards, the products are submitted to a tasting board consisting of an international jury. Based on the results of the tasting board (including packaging), various awards are bestowed.
