Face Solutions and More celebrates first anniversary

Barbara Leonardi (right), vice-president of Skincare Technology, shares a few words with Sharon Bowla-Williamson, owner of Face Solutions & More. Face launched its products and services at its Haining Road headquarters in New Kingston, last Wednesday.

THERE WAS plenty happening on Haining Road, on Wednesday evening.

Face Solutions and More celebrated its first anniversary, official opening and new product launch all at the same time in one compact little reception. Owner and founder of Face, Sharon Bowla-Williamson conceptualised the store after studying skin care to help her own skin condition. A year later and Face is doing just fine.

"We've received good response from a lot of people. We have about 100 clients right now and tonight represents the official launch of our products and services," she said.

So what was this new product that everyone was looking forward to in some anticipation? The Revitalight Skin Care system uses Light Emitting Diode (LED) to its treatment. Barbara Leonardi, vice-president of SkinCare Technology, the company that created the machine, gave the demonstration.

The red light penetrates the skin between eight and 10 millimetres, which helps to stimulate collagen. This treatment is good for removing scars, stretch marks and other such skin problems. The blue light treatment is better served to kill bacteria present on the skin and is especially useful for persons with oily skins. If clients so desire, they can have both. And no need to worry about radiation or discomfort; it's totally painless!

Store manager, Juliet Thompson, took members of the media on a tour of the facility showing off all the amenities of a spa. Guests, via a raffle, were also presented with free treatments.
