ON FRIDAY Cable and Wireless Jamaica (C&WJ) introduced its newest product, the new prepaid calling card 'Jus Talk' at the media launch of the 'Jus Talk' calling card.
"Jus Talk is flexible and convenient with low rates" said President and CEO of C&WJ, Rodney Davis.
The card can be used to call anywhere in the world from Jamaica. It can also be used to call within Jamaica and back to Jamaica from the U.S. Canada, the U.K, and most of the Caribbean.
This latest initiative from Cable and Wireless will offer rates of $7.00 per minute to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom and $18.00 per minute to the rest of the world. The card expires within ninety days after it is first used.
According to the CEO president, like all calling cards it has a lower international rate. He said the card was in response to customer surveys.
"In recent months we have responded to the needs of our customers with initiatives like the 10/8 Mobile plan, homephone prepaid service and affordable high speed Internet Packages," Davis noted.
"Today, once more, we can tell our customers that we heard them and we have just the product that they have been asking for, a calling card that can be used both locally and internationally with very low rates."
THE 'ACE' AMONG CALLING CARDS
According to C&WJ's senior vice president for internet, voice and data, Roger Richards, "Jus Talk is going to be the 'ace' among calling cards in the Jamaican marketplace as Cable and Wireless aims to reassert its leadership in this area."
He said that the calling card will use "a state of the art platform to transmit calls over a proven, reliable network to ensure consistent crystal clear quality, easy call set up, backed by a 24/7 customer service support."
Davis said that the Jus Talk cards will be replacing the retiring World Talk calling card and will be available through C&WJ business offices and full service centres, and authorised dealers and retail outlets islandwide.
A consumer launch will be held next Wednesday when it will be made available on the market.
