
ROSEJAMAICA'S 69-MEMBER squad will go into action today at the 2006 CARIFTA Games in Guadeloupe.
The island's top juniors, led by leading
sprinter Remaldo Rose of Camperdown High and Holmwood's 400m ace Sonita Sutherland, are expected to reap the usual harvest of medals at the three-day meet which ends on Monday.
Rose clocked 10.29 seconds over 100m at the recent trials while Sutherland registered a record 51.13 for the 400m at the VMBS/ISSA Boys and Girls Championships.
Also expected to do well are sprinters Schillonie Calvert and Yohan Blake, 800m
runner Theon O'Connor, Champs triple winner Natoya Goule and Donahue Williams in the 800m and 1,500m for Under-17 boys.
